What is DiviTip?
DiviTip is a digital tipping platform that enables customers to leave voluntary gratuities for service workers at businesses such as restaurants, salons, hotels, and other service establishments. Every tip is tied to a specific business and service interaction.
Tips Are Voluntary Gratuities
All tips processed through DiviTip are voluntary gratuities for services already received. When you leave a tip through DiviTip, 100% of your tip amount goes directly to the service worker or team. A processing fee of 5% + $0.30 is added at checkout to cover payment processing and platform costs, and is clearly displayed before you confirm your payment.
General Refund Policy
Because tips are voluntary gratuities for services that have already been provided, they are generally non-refundable once the payment has been processed. By completing a payment on DiviTip, you acknowledge that you are voluntarily leaving a tip for services received.
When Refunds May Be Issued
We understand that mistakes happen. Refunds may be issued in the following circumstances:
- Unauthorized charges: If your payment method was used without your authorization
- Duplicate charges: If a technical error caused you to be charged more than once for the same tip
- Incorrect amounts: If a system error resulted in a charge for an amount different from what you selected
- Fraudulent activity: If the payment was part of a fraudulent transaction
How to Request a Refund
If you believe you are eligible for a refund, please contact us within 48 hours of the transaction:
- Email: support@divitip.com
- Include: The email address used for the transaction (if provided), the approximate date and time, the business name, and a description of the issue
We will review your request and respond within 2 business days. If a refund is approved, it will be processed to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.
Chargebacks and Disputes
If you file a chargeback or dispute with your bank or credit card company, we will provide transaction evidence to your financial institution for review. We encourage you to contact us first at support@divitip.com so we can resolve the issue directly and avoid unnecessary delays.
Subscription Refunds
For business subscription plans, you may cancel at any time. Subscription fees are non-refundable for the current billing period but will not be charged for subsequent periods after cancellation. Contact support@divitip.com for cancellation requests.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email. Your continued use of DiviTip after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
